February Newsletter

Hey Everybody,

February has arrived and more PACE events are on the way!

Could it be? Yes, it could. Something's coming, Something good. It’s Musical Revue! From the West Side to Washington Heights, this Musical Revue will feature Broadway shows about the greatest city in the world.

If you're interested in performing in Musical Revue, there are help sessions on February 5th & 6th and auditions on February 10th & 11th at lunch. If you're a senior who’s going on the New Hampshire field trip, you can audition this Friday, February 7th at lunch.

Get Ready for one of the biggest nights PACE has to offer. Coming Friday March 6th, it's the Improv Olympics! If you are a member of any of the Improv Olympic Committees, we will be having our first meeting this Tuesday, Feb 4th at Lunch. All of the money raised at Improv Olympics will help fund new lighting equipment. Bragging rights are on the table! Hosts have been selected. The PACE student teams

have been selected. Who will win?!

Congrats to the entire cast, directors and crew of Soundscapes. And special thanks to Mr.Derby who has been working day and night to put together an outstanding show that really showcases everyone's dedication to music and art.

I also want to thank those that helped with the Hommocks Musical, as well as everyone who raised money for PACE by selling Playbill Ads. Because of your efforts we raised $1500 towards new lighting equipment. But not only have you raised money, you have also engaged the community. As someone who went to many of these businesses, I know they were thrilled to support PACE and wanted to know when our show dates were.

Business owners asked questions like “Do they still do Kinesthesia?” or “Does Mr. Derby still have the Gong?” It’s a reminder that we live in a community that enjoys the art we make and supports the education we receive. So when you’re about to go on stage for that big performance and you start to get nervous - remember not only do you have the support of your cast, teachers and audience, you also have an entire town and larger community that support you and are behind you every step of the way.

Have a Wonderful February!

Thank You,

Eddie Kam

PACE Executive Council President
